I use Emule for rare files. I don't think I've downloaded any file with over 40 sources in the past year. So [auto] Priority is always stuck on [HI].

I would like to see a optional configuration that allows the ajustment of [auto] ranges

Currently they are

00 - 40 High
41 - 80 Normal
81 - ∞ Low

That may be a good default, but I would like to be able to change them. If I could I would be using to best optimized sources of rare files

00 - 01 High
02 - 05 Normal
06 - ∞ Low

Even better (I added that in one of my mods): calc the avg. source count and adjust the prio levels using that value (e.g. -25% < avg < +25% => lo < no < hi) :)

You go by source count ? I thought it usually was number of requests that decide the auto-UL-priority.
That also seems more sensible to me, and moreover is a number emule really knows, no guessing needed.

Anyway, just more levels of priority could also solve that problem - one of the reasons I stayed with 0.49c-BastarD : it has 10 linear priority levels. (but still most of my files if left on autopriority go with prio=10 :D)
It's Screamin' Jay Hawkins and he's a Wild Man, so bug off!

Oh, yes, that was DL prio... anyways, UL prio is calculated the same way but using the available src count :)
