For various reasons the rss feed is deactivated and I doubt that it will return.

Would it possible to create a microblog on say http://identi.ca/ to announce the releases there (too)? I don't know if there a way to crosspost on contentdb and on identi.ca automagically, but that would be great. That way, it would be possible to subscribe to their RSS feed, and they actually have the means to deal with DDoS attacks.
Needless to say, without a feed the contentdb loses much of its interest, and as an occasional contributor, I would definitely love to see a change on this.

I think that the idea of a microblog is great!
Using Identi.ca or Twitter for announcing the releases would be good I think.
A Facebook-site or a GNU Social-site would not be bad either.
