Thanks a lot for new version of famous EMule!
Installation (via installer) works fine - all my preferencec and downloads were saved. Very easy and safe! Really excellent and friendly installer!

I have to minor questions.

1. "content db needs updateing can (still 48a)"... What does it mean? Shall I do something to make my Emule049a work better or I don`t need to do anything?

2. I don`t see any visible difference considering KAD - just all works fine. Maybe there are some new options and tunes which I don`t see? Please make some explanations if so...

1 You couldn't dpwnload emule 0.49a from Content-DB when that comment was written, now you can.
2 Have you read the changelog in first post?

I think devs must include new bells and whistles in every new version, because people do not want to read changelog.txt file.

As I understand, it is not necessary to tune something new in Emule 049, protocols just working better but no significant new features.

We have here two statements. I'd say: not necessary to tune - is true, but no significant new features - is not true.

Well if you see it this way, you could also say that a car modell with a 50PS engine has no significant new features compared to the same car with 150PS, becasue you wont see a difference from the outside or the cockpit. Yes you don't have a setting where you can enable the new changes, nor are they visible on the first look, but then you might call it a feature that Kad is less likely to break down and more reliable. I do supsect that you would really miss this feature if Kad stopped working one day

I miss these releases.. Nice to see things are still being worked on..

Cenul. A simple meaning for it in this case would be making something hard to find or understand. They do it to the protocol to make it so it's hard for ISPs to detect so they don't filter or slow it down.

Obfuscation is pretty useless today to avoid shaping or throttling by ISP.

BUT with the new emule I have often 1 or 2 client bypassing my ISP limitation on uploads.
They are 049a with obfuscation on, but so are many others that are getting 2K instead of 50k.
The obfuscation in 049a is exactly the same as the older one?

In 0.49a obfuscation is also full implemented in UDP protocol. BTW obfuscation is not usefull when shaping or throttling is not based in protocol detection.

Download the binaries, extract them and copy the emule.exe over your current one (of course you have to exit eMule first)

Hey all,
Iv`e been download eMule v0.49a and somehow my emule stop working...
it`s not download as it need to...
To every download there is 2 or 3 users or nothing at all and it supposed to be more...
it`s always say waiting for more users...
why is it happend? what`s worng? plz help me!
