Hello

Yesterday, everything was going right and properly. But, this morning, I've launched eMule and nothing seems to download or be sent & it actually looks like all the download files are frozen.

Can someone help me solve the problem? (In french, cos it would be easier for me to understand technical stuff, but otherwise english would be ok.)

Follow these steps
  • Go to Options/Security
  • In Update from URL, type:
    http://emulepawcio.s...et/ipfilter.zip
  • Click on Load.
  • Go to Options/Server
  • Set number of errors allowed before removing the server to 9
  • Click List button that appears next to the option Auto update
  • In Notepad, that is opened, add the following lines in the beginning:
    http://www.gruk.org/server.met.gz
    http://www.peerates.net/servers.php
  • Save changes in notepad
  • Untick the two following options Update list of servers
  • Click on Accept
  • Go to servers window
  • Remove all servers from static list
  • Remove all servers from list
  • In Update Server.met from URL, write any of the URL in point 7
  • Click on Update button
  • If you have selected Autoconnect only to servers on static list add the servers you want to static list
  • Double click on any server

If you want help in french ask in French General

Cheers :D

Sorry, in fact it seems to be good, actually.
But still there are much less sources to most files, many of them having none, while they had a lot yesterday. How come? How can I solve that?
Thanks in advance for your help.

If you followed Torpon's steps, you removed fake servers from your eMule.

You may wish to check your queued/downloading files to ensure that none are fake files (ie: You found them from a fake server). Fake servers provide links to files which are junk, spam, malware, etc. Since you have removed the fake servers from your list, any of these files found on a fake server likely will have little or no sources.

In the Quick Help and Guides section there are a number of good message threads which discuss fake servers, fake files, etc.

This is the fake files discussion --> http://forum.emule-p...showtopic=79854
