hmmmm... i'm sorry, but I couldn't catch the meaning of your message... (because of intricate phrases)... I only understand "if you wish 2*9.28MB to be uploaded use the option that is designed to do that." - I don't want to do so I want to upload 2 chunks at one session. Please explain what did you mean in an easier way .

oh my oh my, did you actually read the modes? just take the one that's called Upload X times a chunk size. that one will do that. the other will simply finish two chunks. it's nothing spectacular or even difficult....

do I understand you correct, that "Helps the other clients to finish x chunks" (from the FAQ) means that a client may have some chunks that are not complete, and my emule only gives him that parts to complete his X incomplete chunks ? And if he hasn't any incomplete chunks, my emule only gives him X chunks, isn't he? But what have my emule to do, if the option is set to x=2, but the other-side client has only 1 incomplete chunk? Should he give him 1 full chunk and a part of incomplete?

So, if I am generally right, than it's come out that the problem was the difficulty of translation...

PPS. and if the client uploads less than a size of 1 chunk, should I be sure that he really complete his 2 incomplete chunks? (I have x=2)

finish x chunks: client needs 5 MB to finish chunk 3 and 7 MB to finish chunk 8. client will upload 5 MB for chunk 3 and 7 MB for chunk 8 or a total of 12 MB and terminates the connection. as simple as this. it is well explained in the faq. if you don't understand english too well i recommend you to get some help for a translation to your mother tongue.

i am pretty certain because of your screenshot. requested parts are painted yellow and received (by the other client or sent by us) blocks are painted green. two chunks are painted yellow in your screenshot so i suspect both of them to be finished. i am certain the code works just fine!

whenever a client does not need more than we can give the upload will be terminated. there is nothing we can do if he only needs 30 blocks a 180 kB of one block. he just doesn't want any more.

anyway, do not try to make an elephant out of a fly. there is no point in reporting something as suspicious unless you finally get the clue how it is meant to work.

Hello Stulle,
I have try the new Mephisto version wich is working great very low CPU and RAM usage.
For the number of opening slots I had the same problem than Buziobello so I simply put the "Sec. until new slot opened if no trickle" to 0 and the minimum number of open slot to 6 to stabilize the upload in Mephisto upload tweaks.So now I have a very stable upload and never more than 8 slots opened and never less than 6.Of course I didn't have always trickle slot but my upload health stays at 100%.
Hope it can help people encountering this problem.
But please be careful 'cause it may only make things worse so save the defaut settings so you can restore it if you experience problems.

@ all: please be reminded of my warning (which was repeated by rom08, too): be careful with the upload tweak settings. you may worse anything!

My upload speed is 40 kB/s limited at 32 Kb/s(old emule habbit to manually limit upload speed but seems to work well so far)
For the feedback not limiting my upload speed and using NAFC doesn't change anything,I still have number of slot problem.
When I use defaut settings and have a look at my upload I can see that when a slot become a full one it nearly never come back to trickle "state" so that's why I have so much opened slot and nearly no trickle.That's why I decided to try to turn off the "new slot opened if no trickle" option.
I don't know where it come from it's far from my knowledge but maybe it can help you understand.

the slot problem is because of socket blocking ratio.
When I use torrent or another program to download(not upload) , socket blocking ratio is growing and of course there is more slots(30-40 slots)
If I don't use another program to download, everything is fine (about 5-8 slots = total 40kb ).

I loved mephisto very much, I will use it as long as you develop

well, xman was a bit too strict in his phrasing. better: NAFC doesn't work absolutly right if you use a home network and go to the internet together with another computer per router. the point is that the client will not measure what other PCs do but he will always measure what you do. so if you enable NAFC you can be certain to exclude any additional traffic from your computer. furthermore, you can be certain that you will not use all the networks bandwidth so if you set your upload to like 80 you keep 20 for the rest of the network.

another just fine set up can be found in my flat. i got my primary workstation connected directly to the modem with one network adapter. a second adapter is connected to a switch as my laptop is connected to that switch. eMule will now also measure what my laptop takes and my overall output is not changed.

I do not have a problem with ScarAngel v2.5 or StulleMule v5.3 but I have crash with Mephisto v1.1 after a few hours.
The configuration is identical, I use same the préférences.ini and I replace only the program.
