I'm not good at these things , so I was wondering:

Do I HAVE TO use the above mentioned instructions
to get a reliable server list, or can I just delete the fake ones,
and keep my favourites & long time proven servers?

Is it absolutely necessary to follow the path suggested by Trebla?

TIA :)

P.S.
Keep up the good work :+1:

This is one way too keep your list free of fakes, but is not the only way. You don't need to follow the path suggested by Trebla is just a suggestion, a good way, but you can follow your own way.

Cheers :D

[IMHO]
The secret is well simple, and consists of intervening in the affair. Not to use any class of auto-update option, it's a good beginning, and to handle yourself your own list of servers.
A static serverlist is a good one practices, and safer. Of course this list would be in favor compound solely of confidence servers.
In my case only Ds begin by 62.xx.xx and Byte devils, but they are off lately.
Off course, when I'm out of service. :)
[/IMHO]
In this way, you can create the Alex1969's Method, follow it and never you'll get problems.
bye

I that's the case, Server List for eDonkey2000 should be removed
& replaced with Gruk List, or something similar :)

And how about TheDonkeyNetwork ?
Is it also full of FKS?
