After the news of lugdunummaster, where he advised not use servers, and use KAD. I Have the following doubts:
lugdunummaster, talking of the servers and KAD

A lot of users keep on using the servers for disinformation or for laziness. I believe that if the official creators of the program do not know that pass with the theme of the servers really, they should disable their use in next versions of the program, or warning of it when initiating the program.

Also there is people that Mods uses that not yet they have KAD and that is another problem.

I believe that while the official creators do not give the step of any way of finishing with the connection to the servers, some users are not going to use KAD.

Referring to the link: some of us read this forum. Do you?
There was very similar suggestion from someone else.
All I can say, 'Don't bury the servers and ed2k before they are dead'.

Ok, I agree, but if we do not have certainty in the servers and it is said that are problematical for the net (virus/atacks DDOS). What sense do you have to use them?

Thanks for your answer, fox88

A greeting.

They are still very useful for acquiring sources and searching on the ed2k network, especially those that do not or cannot connect to Kad. So you gave a reason in your post! And some users have problems using Kad at the moment.

Only fake servers are problematic for the network, solution is just avoiding fake servers, no need to leave eD2K network.
Do not forget clients with Kad not implemented.

Cheers :D

I have always used only Kad...but surprise surprise today I launched eMule and Kad not only didn't connect, but there was nothing on it. BLANK!
Man eMule is facing a hard period, I have seen other programs dying from little crisis like this one.

EDIT: Never mind, it seems it started working again....Puzzled LOL
