Im in Pittsburgh, Just switched to the COMCAST empire. I run a netgear router, with 2 pc's hardwired. Everything is set up the same here as it was where I moved from. I connect....high ID from the door, within mins or maybe an hour, my TCP port closes. I have tried many other ports, tried enabling DMZ for my static IP, and now I rebooted everything and am running straight into the modem. Same ole shit. What ever port I choose for tcp will stay oped for a period of time them go dim. very dim. I just limited my ul/dl and max connections. IVE BEEN READING ALL DAMN NIGHT. All I can come up with is Comcast is doing some shady sh*t by traffic shaping. Im out of options and threads to read.

It might be.
Check:
How many files are you sharing? Suggested max 1000.
Is UL Limit set correctly? Approx 75% upload bandwidth. Will see straight line on graph when good.
Are there too many connections/downloads?
Recommended 'safe' settings:
Max Connections 200 (options/connection)
Max New Connections/5sec 10 (options/extended)
Suggest no more than 30 downloads.
Alternatively can you connect and stay connected to Kad? If so, then use this instead if needed. I do!

Searches take longer but don't have the restricted results of ed2k.
