Hi to everybody! :)
This is a list of feature (maybe it's not complete yet) that I'd like to include in eMule Mix Mod:

Quote

SCT (Sub Chunk Transfer)
SCV (Sub Chunk Verification)
NAFC (network adapter feedback control)
Powerrelease with dynamic Hide OS
Anti-Leecher-Feature
emulate Edonkey
emulate ML Donkey
emulate Hybrid
Anti-Friend-Ban
ReAsk sources after IP change
display CPU/MEM usage in transferwnd
Dynamic Block Requests
Safe Hash
Forceshare
UPnP NAT Support
ICS with Improved Firewall Support
Random Port
Spam detection
Detect Hidden Chunks (Anti HideOS, required for ICS)
Fake High ID prevention (a must for Low ID users)
LanCast 2.0
Worm detection
SUQWT (Save Upload Queue Wait Time)
Push small files
Push Rare files
Anti Ghost Mod

There are some uncompatible elements in this list? I need to know the response, so I can do a clever selection.
In addition, I ask: what is the "Pay back first" feature???

Thanks in advance for the help. :respect:

What nafc? xtreme style or phoenix style? (The basic concept is the same, the code is very different)
what is worm detection? (symatic alrady f*cked that one up, use a differnt name)
Fake High ID prevention (a must for Low ID users) --> netf style? or really test if the server connects back.
Did you ever test those "emulation" features. I think they are overrated.

Download the MorphXT emule mod here: eMule Morph mod

Trouble connecting to a server? Use kad and /or refresh your server list
Strange search results? Check for fake servers! Or download morph, enable obfuscated server required, and far less fake server seen.

1) Pay Back First -> Reading the description, I dont' see any advantage in using it...
2) NAFC -> Xtreme style, I suppose, since that I really like that mod! :)
3) Worm detection -> Browsing emulemods.de I saw a mod with this feature, but I don't know how it works. Anyway, I'm interested in a feature that prevent worms spreading over the network (detecting them, too).
4) Fake High ID Prevention -> I don't know the style, I'd like to include this feature, in some way.
5) Emulation -> I heard that some clients aren't very correct, but emulating the right client software at the right time you can overcome this problem... B)

YOu promote a complete file & send data to people who uplaoded a lot to you without doing file trading. If that is not a great feature?

Like: you sended me a lot of data and i completed the file: now i pay you back with a high priory slot.

worm protection is from netfinity.. also in Xtreme.

If you want to include Xtreme NAFC then good luck :)
But don't use the phoenix one.. it's outdated and doesn't work too well. Before ikabot stoped with phoenix, the recoding of NAFC was on his todo-list.

What is "Forceshare"?

On a first look I don't see any incompatybilities.

NeoLoader is a new file sharing client, supporting ed2k/eMule, Bittorent and one click hosters,
it is the first client to be able to download form multiple networks the same file.
NL provides the first fully decentralized scalable torrent and DDL keyword search,
it implements an own novel anonymous file sharing network, providing anonymity and deniability to its users,
as well as many other new features.
It is written in C++ with Qt and is available for Windows, Linux and MacOS.

leuk_he -> With "Pay Back First" we give priority to users that are good uploaders, so they'll become efficient sources for others... Okay, I'll include it!

Xman1 -> I'll use the Xtreme NAFC... ;-)
I didn't know that Xtreme included worm protection: i'll take a look at its code, then!

DavidXanatos -> Forceshare is TK4 feature, but I don't know what exactly is.
I'm happy if there aren't uncompatibilities. :-D

Well I personally think you should just try it out. You will see soon enough if there is some problem when combining them.
Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

It depends on what is the code for Anti-Leecher you want to use, but Wizard Anti_Leech code and Anti-Ghost mod do not work well together (they marry two completely different approach tot he same problem).

In that list, you just miss NiceHash ;)

Good luck
The problem is not the client, it's the user

Features can't really be incompatible but you might encounter conflicts because of the way they work, e.g.:

My AntiLeecher code and DLP/Argos go completely different ways so mixing them up won't be a good idea... while I don't like banning at all they tend to ban lots and lots of clients.

Adding Lancast and NAFC seems pretty strange to me as you can't use NAFC in a LAN environment.

GUI options will rarely to never conflict with other options.

A lot of the features you mentioned above need quite a lot of code so you should start it slowly and/or choose a base which already includes some of your desired features.

EDIT: typo

disagreed. you may use it but you have to be quite watching the network carefully and you might have to reduce the ul on your own to provide good ping results for other users...

No, there will not be a new version of my mods. No, I do not want your PM. No, I am certain, use the board and quit sending PMs. No, I am not kidding, there will not be a new version of my mods just because of YOU asking for it!

Andu -> I see... ;-) B)

Ciccio *** -> I'll use Xtreme antileecher. In that list I included Safe hash, so it's not necessary Nice Hash... :-k

lutor -> What!?! I don't understand what you mean...

Wizard -> I suppose that I'll "remix" code snippets taken from many mods. Meanwhile, I'll learn a lot about C++ and eMule programming.

Stulle -> Could you explain me better these things, please?

SafeHash != Nicehash - they do something completely different! Be aware of that and don't believe the rumors :flowers:

You can use nicehash & safehash at the same time. Nicehash just slows down the hasing by pausing. safehash put the hashing in a seperate thread so it does nto block the gui.

leuk_he -> Thanks for the explanation. I'll use only safe hash, using both techniques won't give big advantages, in my opinion. I think that multithreaded execution is quite efficient.

By the way, it think you should change your nick. Nobody will use a mod from someone who promises to crash your system in script kiddy 1337 talk. :-k :P

:woot:

My mod will be eMule Mix Mod: I won't insert my nick there... :-k

EDIT -> I'm also interested in these features:

Quote

ZZ Chunk Chooser - It downloads different parts of the same chunk from several sources at the same time

QuickStart & Quickstart after IP change

Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) Support - It could be used together with Upnp?

Spooky mode -> This feature is now deemed a Bad Feature since files are not announced. What about modifying it to announce files? It should be a technique used as last resort...

Doesn't Nicehash also reduce the load on the hdd? That would be something that especially low end system owners would like. It certainly is an issue for my box.
