Global searches should find you as much as with RB2 except maybe some LowID sources. Kad is a very good alternative as well since it's designed to find every source that has logged into the network.
Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Thanks Andu,

I tried Global (Servers) (where I can choose "method"), but for example when I'm looking for videos of "ABBA" I would find hundreds and hundreds with RB2, now I find 30 only! So that didn't work for me.

I tried KAD. I never used that before. I thought it didn't work, but it appeared it took a while before I got connected. And... it worked... I found a lot again!

Thanks for your help!

However, now I only see question marks at the number of complete sources. And Emule hasn't start downloading any files yet. But that's probably a matter of patience...

Unless ABBA is the name of your grandmother :-k and you have her permission to download her videos, you should carefully read the forum rules – the second rule might interest you in this case.

Well I don't think that a search for ABBA is a problem. Just don't start downloading the files tho.

@woodst: The problem with your global ed2k searches was almost certainly that you were connected to a fake/badly configured server. Getting 30 results is a classic symptom. Even with many good servers and performing a global search, if the connected server is bad it can block results from the rest.

Razarback is back!?
Besides being one of the most popular dogs around, this beagle is quite extroverted. While on top of his dog house, he daydreams of great adventures. He is truly a unique character, who never speaks but yet is able to convey every emotion through facial expressions and thought.

Niclights, Thanks a lot! Much appreciated.

M8h, sorry if I violated a rule, but ABBA was really just an example.

For me, dutch Donkey Servers are good alternative for RB2 (there are 750K users on DS No1 right now). Anyway, i'm missing RB2 and hope that it's comes back.

hi

I've just noticed something strange:
Both razorback were still in my static servers list, but, of course they were always grayed, and, I think, without any infos under ping, users, files, etc...

But a few minutes ago, RB2.1 was no longer grayed, and showed 110k users and 18M files
(grayed again now, but infos still there)

I've tried to connect to it (with another mule) -> seems inactive.

Anyone else noticed that?

(I've removed both RB from my static list, now, just in case another fake server will use the same name and IP...)

Well, to have the same IP, it means this fake server have to be at the same provider that Razorback used

And I believe this provider won't allow to put online any fake edonkey server from MPAA (or else) ^_^ especially with the name Razorback... B)

imho =)

Until some official news comes in (ie. razorback2.com website comes back up) it can be assumed that any server using the razorback name is a fake (or at least not the original).

Don't you think that if the case had already been resolved (duh...) or they somehow managed to get equivalent hardware up and running, that they would've also put the website back up and notified the general userbase through typical channels?

Since none of these possiblities is anywhere near reality, it is just foolish to assume anything but the worst of the 'razorback2' imitators.
