Idea For Posting Rare Files </original Title>

eMule could have an option that would make the client avaible to store parts of rare files on their hd. For the visual people:
[ ] Enable 'Rare files storage'
[ 100 ] Mg will be used to store parts (adjustable)
Rare files storage (could even become the RFS concept ), when actived, would take the unused DL bandwitch to get parts. That's good because it wouldn't affect people when they download files using their full download bandwitch and would also boost their UP/DOWN ratio, sharing rare parts that will certainly get downloaded by alot of people. Oh and downloading rare files wouldn,t affect the UP/DOWN ratio since it's actual download but storage to redistribute.
On the side of the client which has some rare files, maybe a tag on their files database like 'enable rare files storage distribution' , but that would be hazardous since one might consider a useless file/app/video a rare file, enable the distribution of that file and fill the storage of people will undesirable file(s).
Then, maybe that 'enable rare files storage distribution' option could be joined with 2 checks before distributing it ...
a ) numbers of sources in the upload queue wanting that file
b ) then check the number of avaible sources on the network for that file
if a is high and b is low, he starts uploading some parts of his rare file(s) to someone who has the rare files storage enabled (sending a general msg to the network that would attract people with rare files storage enabled, dunno...)
There is a downside part to this though, while he is uploading rare parts to others that enabled their storage, someone that wants the file will get it slower (only at the begining because sources will multiply and DL speed too) .
what do you think? good concept? would it be good on the long run or simply add some confusions to the files shared? Maybe it's useless since a rare file gets some request by different clients.. uploading parts to all of them would praticaly give the same result...
I think that concept can be expanded, redefined, and could end up being a very innovating way of having some rare files spread like pollen during a big windy day
peace, feedback that post please

SlugFiller rule #5: Does it say "Group: Moderators" under my name? No? Then stop telling me about who you want to ban! I really don't care! Go bother a moderator.
SlugFiller rule #6: I can understand English, Hebrew, and a bit of Japanese(standard) and Chinese(mandarin), but if you speak to me in anything but English, do expect to be utterly ignored, at best.
