I`d like to see a prog to add downloads to my e-mule server, thrue other pc`s (LAN/Internet) by just clicking the ed2k links on those pc`s internet explorer.

Now, if i want to add a download to my mule, i have to connect to it thrue the webinterface, and add the downloads 1by1, with copy/paste. Or i can connect with VNC to add them using the server`s local internet explorer, to add multiple links in a fast way. But these aren`t viable options for my little bro, he isn`t that good with computers, and has to ask me for adding downloads.

So what i`m looking for, is a small program, that can take the ed2k links i click on (in internet explorer) and send them to my server (maybe using webinterface commands) with the option of giving the files a catagorie.

That would make e-mule the ULTIMATE p2p program,.....for me that is :D

For those using Mozilla Firefox i would like to inform about another option:

http://www.informati.../~dyna/mldonkey

We just added beta support for eMule to the mldonkey protocol handler extension.
I've been using this code for several months now, and it is platform independent.

It currently only works with eMule 0.45*, but a 0.46+ version is already in the pipe.

That Mozilla extension may want to use this method:

http://eMule-ip-or-address:eMule-port/?w=password&p=eMule-webserver-password&cat=0&c=ed2k-link

I didn't check the code, but I assume they currently parse web pages some way, since they need to reimplement for 0.46a. Above method should be safe also in the future without reimplementing.

Great, thanx!

Will this work for 0.45* as well?

What the extension code does right now it to login, get a session id and then send a
GET /?ses=SessionId&w=transfer&c=ed2kLink
(or for version 0.46+: GET /?ses=SessionId&w=transfer&ed2k=ed2kLink )
and then logout.

But everything will be so much easier (and faster) if your URL snippet works for 0.45 and higher. Thanx again

I think it works for 0.45 and maybe some versions back, but you'll have to test it to be sure.

A new version of the eMule Firefox extension is uploaded:

http://www.informati.../~dyna/mldonkey

It uses the method described by ZZ and it works with eMule 0.45, 0.46a and hopefully later versions as well.

Enjoy!

The project homepage for the ed2k link catcher is down, so i don`t have any instructions. I tried u few different things, but can`t get it to run, can someone supply me with a guide?

The thing i`m most confused about, is that the server file doesn`t do anything (visually that is)
