Like others I can't open the site AT ALL!!

It's probably been two months since I last have been able to access the page... Ever since, I receive a "server not found" message from IE...

I doubt it's a fluke.... There is probably something wrong on a deep level...

I mean, I was sure that the DB was taken down without any notice, until today when I found this section of the board...

How many other people still think that it's down??

Maybe posting something on the front page might show/guesstimate the number of people that cannot join the database...

Anyway, I'm located in Canada, if it means anything (most of you seem to be in Europe)....

Maybe admins have abandoned Content page. As they also dont bump the updated releases.

It is so damn slow I can't even submit a new release. And the server almost always just closes the connection during submitting and then all these empty releases appear on the list. Is anyone working on fixing these big problems?!

Yes there are some major problem in the codebase of the content db, which would have to be fixed. Unfortunatly right now no dev has time for this but we will try to find a solution asap.

Great. Can't wait to see some fixes. Well I noticed one thing (if it helps any). When the addition/editing of the release isn't successuful it usually doesn't work when it has to add ED2K links. For example the title, description and comments field gets updated on editing but the file links don't get added.

The site has not been working for me for almost 3 months.
In the meanwhile here is another website where you can submit releases.
http://www.bitzi.com

I have created a bitzi society http://bitzi.com/soc...Source_Software where in you can add software which are Free(as in Freedom) and open source and are covered by licenses like GNU GPL,BSD,MIT etc. Please make sure that the files can be legally redistributed.

Please fix the damm thing!!

There are a lot of people, like me, who want to keep the content DB up to date. This is just a wonderfull way to show the world p2p has a great legal future ahead!

So please build a new content database (this one is crap) or just abandon the whole idee. Just don't leave us heer unknowing..

The codebase was reviewed / fixed and it has been moved to another server. I'm confident that most issues are gone now.
