 Hi,
Could someone please help me. First off,l must say that the emule network is the best thing that has ever happened to me.I joined the the network about 3 months ago and was extremely happy till about 3 weeks ago.I was experiencing download rates of between 30-40 Kbs using ver 30a.
Then for no apparent reason,my downloads slowed down to a crawl.
Now it averages 5-7Kbs.But the uploads are averaging 28-36 Kbs.Ihave files that are nearing completion and for the past 2 weeks they remain dead.Everyone is uploading but I am not getting downloads like I used to.
I thought I might get better results with Ver30b.No such luck.It was even worse. My computer was on for hours and still only the uploaders were having a good time.
I then tried Ver40a, and even that didn't help one bit.I don't know whats going on.
I have a ADSL line 512/128.On my mule I have set download limit to 57 and upload to 12.
I would sincerely appreaciate any help anyone can give me.

Thank You.
Joshmann

At what actual speed do you upload? First numbers (28-36) seem invalid to me.
Look at stats screen, upload graph - if you for example are steadily uploading at 11kB/s, set your upload limit accordingly (11 or even 10). ed2k network overhead seems slowly increasing (more users etc), thereby you may have a bit less free bandwith for your uploads and this can make your downloads slower too.
I'm using to surf on :)

Hi ,
Sorry I looked at the wrong place. The average upload is 10.83Kbs.What i posted earlier was the max upload rate.
Anyways, could u please explain the following:

4 days ago most of my downloads were working and I was getting
an average download speed of between 17 - 25 Kbs with 30b.But since
the day before all my downloads are dead with the excep[tion of only one.
And this is the only one thats downloading at asteady pace.
My question is " Whats happened to all the rest even tho some were nearing
completion. Right now of the 12 D/Ls , only one is working.

Thank You

1) Welcome to the board.

2) Sounds like a support issue to me so this is the wrong place to ask.

3) Without actually looking at your client nobody can actually say what is "wrong". All we can do is make an educated guess.

4) More information would be welcome. System specs and connection settings in eMule are rather important for any kind of help.

That's the stats. I want to know what settings you have set in preferences for max connections, hard limit and connections/5secs.

On top of that it would be interesting to know if you are using any kind of firewall and/or router.

Oh and how long do you usually let eMule run before you close it?
