I've been running it for about 24 hours now, but nothing new to report.... Apart from noticing the slot numbering has been changed back, I think beta7 is exactly the same as beta6 here - i.e. perfect slot focusing for normal slots, but still unnecessary excessive PS and FS slots. Still stable upload, with PS and FS limits obeyed correctly. PS upload still incorrect on the stats graph with open FS.

I was wondering leuk, when you test it, (and don't get excess slots) do you make a fresh install or just replace the exe's each time? I simply replace the exe's, but that shouldn't make a difference should it?

I replace the exe, and a relateive small part of my files are powershared (and most of them are rare files) . And my isp is quite stable with a relative low latency, and i leave more than enough bandtwidth for emule

So you never have PS requests in your queue (as opposed to PS requests with an open upload slot)?
Just mark one of your popular shares as PS and you'll be able to see the effect yourself.

i just thinked that "solution" after seeing my emule configured with slotfocus acting in this way (and now it's acting ok... there are times where it had 10 or 15 very slow slots opened and the last one is the only one able to reach high speeds... but can't get them... so i cannot spread the chunk as fast as i want :/ ):


monopolizing the #1 slot for more that 40minutes is a crime

of course when using an hypothetic "slot aging" everytime the fast client complete his transfer all the others client get back to their original places... and have the possibility to demostrate that now they merit the slotfocus...

yep... that depends a lot on the type of the connection... :S
what about having that value as a "settable" configuration variabile?

I can not wait to see the next Morph version !!! So far I feel it is going to be the best mod around.

I loved the BETAS (except for a few already mentioned situations) and yes I like the idea of having extra configuration options in Morph even if only for the purpose of beta testing and as long as it is okay with Leuk_he & Stulle.

It would be really nice if one had the option to test various setting that control slot behavior (that would at least save us the time of waiting for a new beta version just to test what if scenarios under various conditions).

So... what do you guys say?

Can tell it is related to saving the sort order of the columns, Don't see the error exaclty right now.

Configurable: maybe, but not needed if the culprit is found anyway.

If you're in that code area anyway, are you interested in fixing another small bug there? (Wrong sorting order after program restart in case of using a four-way sorting column in the "files" page, I'll give more details if you're intererested.)

to reproduce: turn off the option to filter ipfiltered servers. Install ipfilter (recommend v 106 with the bigbang-filter). Then load a server.met. Enable option to filter servers with ipfilter and connect to a filtered server.

Something new (I think).
Settings as per graphs. upload limit 22kB/s. The normal upload "died" - 1st picture. This looks like it happened when I added a download (~400 sources). My first thought was my new ISP was throttling, but changing the FS speed (to 6 then 10kB/s) suggested it was just the normal upload/slot that was affected. When the B/s slot completed at 9.33MB a new slot opened with full upload speed - 2nd picture.

Hi,first of all i had a crash while exit [with Beta7] here is the Dump file.
Second,when a user finish a chunk emule doesn't stop it in the same time like other previous versions but they usually download more then 10-11Mb instead of normal 9.28 [usually 9.5-6].
Third,when i start the client,upload speed grow very very slow.
USS --> disabled
Max Client Datarate --> 3kB/s
Dynamic Upload --> Disabled
Tell me if you want more info ;-)

hi everyone!

i have noticed a little thing:

a upload-slot "via proxy" seems not to work with versions higher then 8.10 or am i looking wrong?

some known client is getting such a slot, is waiting to get any data but nothing is transfered
simultanously i download from him and with v.8.10 there were not such problems so i dont understand why it tries to establish the proxy connection and then it cant upload throug it ??
giving a friendslot also wont start to transfer so i think there is a problem with the uploading to a proxy (my isp is t-online, normally all works fine with my connection)

when changing back to v.8.10 upload via proxy works normal as it always did

but thanks for this nice beta´s, thats a lot of work

I think you have the same error like me since 0.46b. I started a topic at developement-forum, but nobody replied.
This error can easely be catched with a try- catch block arround SaveSettings() in Mulelistctrl.
I don't know whatÄs the real reason for this crash.. but it only happens when user upgrad from any old/different emule-version.
Ok, try-catch is never a good solution... but I don't have crash-reports anymore and nobody complained that the sortorder isn't stored well.

I am sorting the "files" page by "transferred data (total)", which means two arrows pointing downwards in this column.

When I start eMule then the column header shows these two arrows downwards; but actually the list is sorted by "transferred data (session)", i. e. one arrow downwards, with "transferred data (total)" being a secondary sort method - that's why everything looks correct right after the start of the program. But as soon as the first uploads are running these files are jumping to the top of the list:



Clicking on the column header four times solves the problem for the current session only.

I'm not using anything else besides MorphXT, that's why I wanted to report it to the MorphXT coders. I have my workaround anyway.
