USE A DLP READY MOD(not include NEO!),and get a DLP UPDATER from

http://fzh.soft2cn.c...DLP_Updater.zip

unzip it and put the *.exe to your antiLeech.dll`s folder, then run the exe and press yes when it ask you to connect internet,a moment later it will give you a new, modificated antiLeech.dll.Restart emule, you will find that antiLeech.dll`s version have changed to 3114 or higher,it`s OK.

Don`t forget to change all of the dlp options to BAN in the dlp panel! Reduce score is none sense!

thanks aug! i'll give that a try and see how it goes.

by the way, what happens when your score reduces...i know it doesn't make any sense, but other than that, are there any more severe effects, like you being banned or blacklisted from the emule network or something? does that kind of thing happen?

When you reduced score and there are empty upload slot in your emule that bad clients could still transfor data from you. BAN them.

That servers doesn`t care about if you use DLP,so does Kad.

If you want to check the blacklist of your emule, active verbose in extended options.

The original DLP.DLL is too old to protect us,the last update is September 2007,please use a new modificated one.

Well thats worth a security warning, you are asking us to load unverified software into our mules!

AFAIK since the whole emule project including the DLP-capable versions are GPLed free softwares you'd have to make your new DLP library open source too: source code publicly available and compiled versions distributed together with the GPL.

Until that happens - no unknown libraries, no security risks for me :bouncehi:

YES,it`s should be.But,that bad mods` maker should update their bad software quickly by this open source, they had got random username, emulate other mod and many other way to leech. It`s very hard to detect them.so,this dlp mod is close source now, like lugdunum.

Idiocy... if they get banned/score reduced then this can only be because of some easy schemes like the version/username/modname and if that is the case and they really care about the bans and value preventing those bans higher than promoting their software then it it won't be a problem to change those characteristics.

I agree with antonymous: You should not use this however modified thing - whatever it tells you that it will do... you are playing with fire.

i'm a little new to the mule, and i'm not from china either, but i've been getting these xunlei and "[CHN][VeryCD]" downloaders (or is it leechers) on my upload list too. is there any other known risk from these leechers, except the fact that they can restrict and reduce yourt speeds. like is there a safety risk of any kind? if yes. then how do we protect against it? Please help, any tips will be useful.

There's no risk. Leechers are just kids who can't enjoy sharing. Pity them. :D

hey, thanks nissenice!

big sigh of relief...!

but i was just wondering ( because there's no ratio system like in torrent trackers here), whether there are any consequences of only leeching and not uploading. i mean, does it ever happen that there's a ban (like in pvt. trackers) or any other limitation imposed on a leecher by the network or other users?

Evil prevails when good men fail to act,and we can say"Evil prevails forever." why? The good men are too good!

To help all of you I created a new antiLeech.dll which can be downloaded

Here as antiLeech.dll
Here as antiLeech.dll.new
Here as antiLeech.zip

and finally you can get the sources here.

Please note that this is NOT an official DLP!

I called it v32 and the changelog is as follows:
  • I added more checks for the AJ mods - also, suspect AJ usernames will be banned now
  • I added the chinese leecher characteristics mentioned in this thread to the .dll
  • I refined some checks by shortening the strings that are searched for

I still do not believe in the DLP concept but currently it's better than nothing... if ppl don't wanna analyze their counterparts properly then they need at least some basic protection.
Hopefully it helps...
GreetZ,
WiZ

PS:
Even though I was tempted, I did not remove any of the bans/punishments, no matter how stupid they are...

Nope, no consequences... *sigh*

Thanks for your antiLeech.dll! But yours can not stop all of the Chinese Malicious software`s connections.
Maybe yours is more safety, but it does not work.

ADSL have a wretchedness upload speed, please do not waste it.

No, there will not be a new version of my mods. No, I do not want your PM. No, I am certain, use the board and quit sending PMs. No, I am not kidding, there will not be a new version of my mods just because of YOU asking for it!

Hello, I just wanted to say I use Neomule, had antileech v34, argos in maximum settings and still had (like always) a bunch of random tag and leecher clients in my known list, queue, and sources.
So I gave a try to this Chinese DLP.....
I cant tell for sure if it did something wrong, but I do see the average bans went from 25 to 75 and all those random and leecher tags I knew (like TLN booster) just dissapeared! :respect:
I believe this DLP+ is simply great, but I would like to try it for a while before I recommend it.
In any case it will be really nice if Stulle and everyone developing DLP will get in touch with Fzh because this thing does seem to work and it does look like a potential solution to leechers, at least for a while.
Thats all, sorry about using this dead thread and thank you for all the time you spend on this wonderful project! :respect:

Cheers from Argentina!
